Asking Godparents
Do you plan on asking them in a fun way? We were just going to ask them over for dinner and ask, but I wanted to see if anyone was thinking of doing something special when asking.

With my DS I was due in February. I ordered personalized ornaments from personalizationmall.com . I put the picture of the sono on there and wrote "Would you be my godmother/godfather? They loved them.

Asking Godparents
My best friend made me a mug with a picture of her son on it and it said "Will you be my godmother" on the mug. It was super cute and I still use it all the time! I think we might do something similar. Etsy had beer glasses with the Godfather movie logo on it- I thought that would be funny for my brother in law. Or another idea was get a godfather/godmother picture frame and then put a note inside the frame. Then they can put a picture from the baptism in it.

We did something similar. We gave my sister and brother in law an ornament for Christmas that said "I love my Godparents."

For my 1st the godmother already knew she would be it. My DH just told his brother over the phone. For this one I am pretty sure DH had to the godfather before I was even pregnant he would be god father. Haven't decided on god mother yet but when I do I'll just probably have them I Ed and ask
