Honestly, my fake email address that I use for junk mail is on the list. I set up a fake account one night when the site first came out. My husband is the one that told me about the site and we sat on the couch and browsed thru all of the idiots that had pictures and tons of information in their profiles. So clearly they wouldn't have my CC information but I think it's crazy for someone to jump to the conclusion that just because an email address is on that list it means the person was actually using it. Yes, I see what you mean. However, it will tell you if it is verified or not. Well, earlier it said it was verified. Now, it's just in red.
So for example if you put in [email protected] then you get the orange that says it was used, but not verified. But if you put in [email protected] then it comes up in red, which, I assume means it was verified, according to a search I did on my ex-bf earlier today. From what I read, verified means you did use a credit card to read messages and communicate with people.
and my ex showed up in red AND he admitted to it

My sibling's spouse's email is on there in red. I wish I never looked or typed in email addresses for fun. A lot of people suspect spouse is cheating on my sibling. I wonder how valid this information is.

Mine comes up RED and i can assure there was never a credit card associated with the account. So wherever you heard that, it's not true.

Well… The only email addresses that showed up red for me are two email addresses that I know have fake accounts on that site (mine and a friend who did something similar to me). every other email address that I put in that I know doesn't have anything associated with it shows up in green. So I would say it's legit that the emails were used on the site, but you just can't tell in what capacity. and there is a DRASTIC difference than being curious and looking at the site to see if you can find anyone you know and actually using it to cheat. it's just unfortunate that someone's reputation can be tarnished because of this. The email address that I used, no one EXCEPT my husband knows about, so I am not worried about someone random thinking I am actually on it. But that could easily happen to a lot of people.

Well, yeah I see what you are saying about that website. I dunno, but if my email (or my SO's) was in red I'd probably check out the actual data dump (if I had the right protection to download it, which I do not) or hire someone to check it out for me (apparently there are people that do this). It's got passwords, credit cards, and other personal info. Not only does this suck for the cheaters, it also sucks for the families.
Granted they were cheaters and had it coming to them in some way, they do not deserve a privacy breech like this, IMO.

My junk email is on there in red and it's because I was curious and wanted to look at what sort of asshats use that site. I never paid for anything. I wouldn't worry so much about people's emails being in red.

I just searched my email address and it came up on red. I have never ever been on that site before. So I call BS. Like maybe I accidentally clicked an ad someone one time? Or read an article about it? But I've NEVER signed up.
