we kept the names a secret b/c everyone knows everything else already. we figured something should be a surprise..LOL

Everyone knows what our girl name will be, we got a lot of positive responses but some not so nice. Like from mom
The boys name will be kept a secret b/c we want to surprise our moms and grandmothers by using our grandfathers names. They won't ever see that coming!
When I was telling my mom what names we were thinking in the beginning and I heard her comments about each and every one of them, I just turned to her and said sorry! You had 3 chances to name your children what you wanted, now it's my turn. Deal with it.
She's been a lot better lol
We find out tomorrow what gender we should be focusing on

Not really telling people. DH figures everyone knows the sex so lets have one surprise for when he's born.
Same for Miss Bean. I told very few people-I want one surprise!

exactly! Anytime we say we are thinking of naming the baby X, they say "oh I knew an X once, he's in jail now" or something along those lines 
This is exactly why we're not saying anything beforehand either!

We were going to keep our name choices a secret until the baby was born because we didn't want to hear any negative reactions to the names....but then we changed our minds and started telling everyone....because we don't care if people don't like our names. We do...and that's all that matters.

Maybe because we have a mainstream name, but we haven't received any negative comments. We told people the name as soon as we decided and found out it was a boy. Our  will be Aaron Scott.

I didnt even tell anyone she was a girl and I knew, so I definitely did not tell names.
I told a few friends some of my early ideas for names and thats it.
I fell so in love with her name that I didnt want anyone yapping about it before she was here and I knew once they saw her that they would love the name too.

ITA! I figure if I tell people what the name is then theres no room for their suggestions or help, as if I ever asked for it anyway. Our 's name is Constantine William And we love it, after both of our fathers.
Carissa I love that name! DH really wants to call our Constantine if it's a boy, but we have a really long last name, so it might be cruel to the poor child!!  We have decided on our boy's name, but we've got 2 that we can decide between for a girl!

I am telling everyone who asks me and I honestly can care less what people think. My girls name has been picked out since I was 15, and if we have a boy..he's going to be named after my DH.

I do not plan on telling anyone because I do not want to hear any crap from people about how much they hate the name. Most likely they have a stupid name themselves! I am cranky..sorry

We are not telling people the names we picked out. For starters we dont want to hear anyone's opinions. We also think it is nice to announce the name after the baby is born when we will know if it is a boy or girl.
