Im always nice rightaway- i see no need not to be- usually, by that point, they havent had time to pi$$ me off yet, if theyre still a 'stranger'
also, (and i knwo this will sound a little cheesey, but) You really never know what battles a person is fighting in their life- so if i can help that... even just a little bit- by showing unexpected kindness, it makes me feel like i did some good.

Yes. And I must smile unknowingly to people, because I often have total strangers say hello to me. I am constantly being asked for directions and often times people ask me where things are in a store.
