Re: applying for new jobs is painfully exhusting...

Going through this with my DH now. He has applied for so many jobs. He is 58 years old. No one wants to hire him. He is just about done with his masters and has years of experience (project mgr). I really think its his age. No one wants to hire someone that close to retirement. They don't even need your DOB. All they need to see is when you graduated college. So frustrating and upsetting.
I never list the year I graduated college on my resume or LinkedIn. I have a LinkedIn pic so you can see I am in my 30s, and maybe guess my age sort of based on experience. He can leave off his first few jobs from his 20s. Definitely ways to manipulate!

This is exactly what I do: no graduation year and I also took off my first job straight out of college because I don't really need that experience anymore and because I needed to shave of some years off my experience. I work in a very 'young' industry so I never give any clues to my real age on my resume. My linkedin picture is youthful as well: you can tell i am not an immature out of college chick but that's about it.

Just noticing that no one has asked op what she does , what type of job she needs, what her experience is, etc. Another poster mentioned her DH and there are several questions and offers about him. Find it interesting.
Yes. Because as a woman I LOVE to discriminate against women. I only hire men. I like having a lot of men to look at. You are 100% correct. It's a MANS WORLD BABY!

My company is always looking for people It's advertising sales - commission based That coupon book
It's an easy sell. Some people do it part time and make good $$ doing it.
