anyone use general for oil?
anyone use general for their service contract...they are giving me by far the best price for oil and service contract right now...just wondering how their service is

we just signed with them last week (Joe Bonamo was the salesman)...
The old owners used them for 20 years I think...

I moved into my house a year ago and the previous owners had used them. I came on LIF to check them out and there was some bad, scary stuff. They're cheaper than the competition for a reason, apparently. I'm glad that the 3 or 4 PP on this thread have had good experiences, but reading the negative ones last year really turned me off.

EXACTLY - When you call with questions - issues or problems they are rude as hell to you. We have had screaming matches with them over the years. They are really nasty.
Their tech guys are amazing. They really know their stuff.

I used them this year, I haven't had any problems so far (knock on wood)
I did have a problem with tragar, they sent me a bill and never delivered oil! I ran out of oil 3 days after they sent the bill so they sent out a guy to make sure there was no leak but couldn't explain why this happened. Then they charged me a service fee even though I had a contract with them that included servicing.
I make it a point to check the oil tank now after every bill I get even though I'm not with them anymore
