Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets?
Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets? If so, which one? I know there are a few.
TIA

Re: Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets?
I have not used them. But being that I know you a bit from posts, I wanted to share something with you re cleaning carpets.
I do believe you have a young child. There is a link between Kawasaki disease and carpet cleaning (even if just heavy duty steam and no chemical). If you search on the boards here, you will find the info.
I just wanted to share this with you in case you might be interested. If you are going to clean your carpets, it is suggested that young children and infants be out of the room/area for 48 hrs or so (not 100% sure on the time frame). I know when I steam cleaned my carpet (on my own with a machine I bought) I kept DD out of the room for 2 days. Just passing on info I learned on here, that i found very concerning and important. What you feel about that info is up to you but I know you think a lot like me, so I figured you might be concerned.

Re: Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets?
Thanks Goobster, I do appreciate the information. I guess my posts reveal a lot about me. I did not know about this information, or at least I may have known at one point and forgot. Luckily, we have not moved in to our house yet, so keeping DD away from the carpeted areas for many days will be easy. I want to get the carpet cleaned before we move in, though.

I actually don't know anything about carpet cleaning companies. Does Stanley just steam the carpet? That sounds good to me.

They are around for years. I used them once years ago. My mom used them a few times. I am sure you can search them on here and see what people have to say (or ask in a thread). I am not sure if they use chemicals or not though.

Re: Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets?
LOVE Chem-Dry!! I find them to be superior compared to Stanley Steamer. They are a bit more expensive but IMO this is one of those things you get what you pay for. We've had SS before and they were in and out in less than an hour with no nap lifting, nothing. CD has worked on my rugs for hours. They just recently came and spent a few hours here and my rugs didn't even seem dirty. The walked out and they looked brand new. BTW CD is completely green and they use hot seltzer to clean....

Which one did you use? I know there are a few and some may be good and some may be bad. Carine wouldn't come out to me because I am too far.

Re: Anyone use ChemDry to clean carpets?
I just used Friendly ChemDry this week to clean some pretty dirty carpets in a house I am selling and they did an excellent job. Someone who's friend in Riverhead had used them last month got me their number and I decided to try them as apparently that person's rugs had been in awful shape and turned out like new.
The guys seemed very professional and really worked hard to get stains out that Resolve hadn't been able to touch. I'm really happy with the results as I am selling the house and need the rugs to look clean. I would definitely use them again.

Sunnyflies - is there anyone in particular I should ask for?
