Anyone taking a calcium and/or vitamin c supplement?
I noticed the vitamin I was previously taking had A LOT more calcium and a bit more vitamin c than my prenatal vitamin.
Anyone else notice that w/ their prenatals? Anyone taking an extra supplement?
My old vitamin for example had 450mg of calcium which is SO impt for women our age..... the prenatal has a whopping 125mg

I take a vitamin C supplement during cold/flu season.
I eat alot of dairy, so I'm not too concerned with calcium.
I will say, you should space your vitamins out throughout the day (and take them with meals). There is only so much of each vitamin that your body can absorb so if you take your prenatal and supplemental vitamins all at the same time, you'll wind up peeing alot of them out.

Re: Anyone taking a calcium and/or vitamin c supplement?
Ive been trying to get 3-4 servings of calcium in instead of from a vitamin. I never feel 100% that taking a supplement is getting me what i need and i know that when we get pregnant how important calcium is - so my goal everyday is trying to drink enough milk etc so that i can continue with it when pregnant.
Same thing with Vit C - ive been trying to get in proper amounts of fruits and veggies.
