Anyone potty train their 26 month old BOY?

For the past few week I have been noticing that DS is dry for long periods of time.

I started putting him on the potty when he was dry and he has gone a few times. Today I think he really "got it" in terms of how to actually go.

My DD was ready at this age but my first DS was no where near ready at this age.

I am wasting my time? Do boys potty train this early?

I started DS a month after his second birthday. He picked up #2 right away but peeing took longer. He was completely out of diapers 6 months later (that's when he was waking up dry, not just staying dry during the day). Night time bladder training supposedly takes longer in boys. He did fight us early on but he got it. It can be done.

I potty trained my first at 28 months. He was accident free by a year and a half.

I just tried with my 2 year old and it failed miserably. He wasn't ready. If your child is ready, you can do it!

My nephew was trained with the 3 day method around that time.

Yes boys can be trained that early. Any kid can. I trained my ds a few months later than that but it only took 2 days.

I trained DS at exactly that age: 26 months. Used 3 day method. IMO, it was a bit late.

I trained DD at 22 months. She trained easier (got the swing of it in 1 day). Maybe it was a boy/girl thing.

Added to say: I only trained for daytime. At night, I use a diaper.

my friend potty trained her DS before the age of 2 so yes I think the can train that early

I think if he's ready do it! I trained my ds before he was 2 . He was fully potty trained day n night at age 2 with no accidents! So it is possible!

Yes, it can work. I potty trained DS at 27 months. He got the pee thing right away, poop took us a little longer.

Yes, I did the bottomless method the day after his second birthday. He had the pee thing down in 4 hrs and poop by the next day. BUT once the undies and pants went back on after the third day, he forgot about pooping in the potty, haha. It took him over 6 months more to be reliable about the pooping, but I wasn't diligent about it either. Two years old is considered to be late for potty training in many parts of the world today, and late in the USA until the introduction of the disposable diaper, so I say go for it!

I started around that time and DS was fully trained within 2 months.

We also kept going. He fought us but when we saw that he COULD do it, we didn't give in. I think that helped.
