anyone have any cures for nausea?
I am SOOO naus.... I had to leave work early and it still has not subsided... I called my mom and she is not home, so I am turning here to get some medical advice!!
I feel totally dizzy, and very nauseous (the feeling I hate most in the world) and my stomach feels a little queasy.
I have had some crackers and ginger ale-- nothing is helping.
What to do???

This is going to sound crazy--but when I was sick to my stomach my dad gave me an orange (or some orange juice) and it made me feel better!!

Hangover nauseous: try greasy food (I like cheese fries . . . never said low fat!)
Possible pg-related nauseous: try Gatorade. It's my new savior.

The Pill used to make me nauseous. I remember drinking ginger ale, eating ginger candy. That did help. I switched to taking the Pill at night. Now I sleep through the effects.

I don't know what kind of naus it is.. ETA-- definitely not hangover related and I am not on BCP currently.
I had some Smart Water earlier- with electrolytes-- thinking it would make me feel better, and it didn't.
Gingerale didn't work.
I just had a packet of Emergen-C a few mins ago.. I hope I feel better from it.
I am like incapcitated and I need to do stuff around the house tonight.

when I felt nausea in the beginning months of pg the only thing that helped, ironically, was to eat, mostly bread - even if you are not pg maybe this will help

sip warm gingerale and eat saltines (tiny bites, and let it almost dissolve in your mouth)
This always works for me!
I tried taking my prenatals in the AM yesterday, and OMG. I almost puked on the way to summer school. Mental note: only take prenates before bed!
Are you taking prenatals?

no-- i take vitamins, but i do it before i go to sleep-- and i dont think this is related-- as i have been taking vitamins for awhile.
i think the emergen c is working a bit

If its an upset stomach, I drink peppermint tea or eat Altoids.
Do you have allergies? When mine act up, I get phlegm in the back of my throat and it makes me nauseous. Clarinex dries it up. Allergies can irritate the inner ear too, and cause dizziness.

this really works.
Grate up an apple - small. Wait for it to turn brown and eat it. It tastes like applesauce and it settles your stomach (I have used it with much success on my daughter multiple times).

Saltines, pretzels, and frozen grapes are my go to's when I feel nauseous.
If you are dizzy it could be that you are dehydrated too.

The only thing I have ever used that helped me is some anti-nausea medicine my dad got in CVS the last time we all had a wicked stomach virus. Don't remember the name, but I'll go look if anyone wants.

Hot tea with bay leaves ... I throw in four or five. I don't know why it works, but it does. It settles my stomach immediately.
