This is so one of those cases that I can't think about too hard for too long because it will destroy me.
So I try to avoid it as much as I can.

My child was the same age as his. It hit me very hard when the details emerged. I saw a few reports and I can't even bring myself to read them. Because of this case I bought myself a life hammer from Amazon, maybe like $10-$15. It is an emergency tool to break windows, cut seat belts (and my own person use, as a weapon god forbid). I leave it in my car and I automatically scan cars and I swear to god if I ever find a child alone I will smash that window so hard, before I call the cops and before I slash their ties for good measure.
I have one of these...my grandma bought it for me for Christmas!
That is adorable! And what a great idea. I am getting for my aunts and mom.
