I think Randella had been using the saliva OPKs.
I don't remember how they worked out for her, but maybe FM her for more info?

I did use a saliva OPK-- but it was a microscope. You put saliva on the lens and looked for ferning patterns to see when you got closer to O.
It was a PITA and I ditched it once I started using the digital OPKs in combo with the other ones.. I also continued to use once I got more comfortable with the regular OPKs and I didn't find it as accurate.
What you are talking about sounds a little different though.
