Anyone ever been to a Jones Beach Theater performance?
The Neil Diamond concert starts at 8 tonight. Do they usually have other entertainers that also perform during these concerts or open their show? Any idea what time Neil Diamond would actually start and any guess when it would end?
Then we are going again tomorrow night for Yanni's concert. I guess it would be the same? Same weather forecast and am I nervous!!

They will usually mention the name of an opening act if there is one. There has always been one for every concert I've ever gone to, but those performers are not your run of the mill rock band kwim. I would check the website.

On your ticket is there a time that says "doors" or "doors open at_____"
I would say 8:00 is the start time, I don't think they would have an opener. I would say they will go on no later than 8:15/8:30

He doesn't show an opening act, but you never know. I believe JB shows must end by 11pm.
Bring an umbrella/rain poncho just in case!
I saw the setlist, and it should be a good concert (I am going too). Enjoy!

The ticket does say 7Pm DRS and I had to go to Ticketmaster to see what time the show is listed as starting. The website says 8:00.

it would usually say if there is an opening act, but you could call the box office and they should be able to tell you specific times that everything starts.
i once called and they were able to tell me the exact times that the opening act would perform, how long in between and when the main act would go on and even a time for the encore!

pp mentioned most shows end at 11pm she is right, every jb concert ive been to ends at 11 on the dot UNLESS there is a rain delay

It was a great concert- prepare to be up and dancing
Oh, and it ended pretty early- about 10:20!

I second the praise for Neil Diamond! What a great show. His voice is as good as ever and the orchestra and back-up singers were fantastic!
Yes, dance and enjoy!!
Since I have never been there before, I wan't prepared for the traffic getting to the parking lots. We left my friend's house in Seaford at 7;15 and didn't get to our seats til 8:20!!
We sat in our seats just as he came on stage. There was no intermission at all. He always performs by the clock, I heard. Two hours and no more or less.
Allow another hour to leave the parking lot.

There usually is an opening act. Almost always. Hard to say though when the main performer will go on.
