Anyone anticipating a gift from DH after u give birth?
some people call it a "push" gift. If so did u tell DH what u want?

Flowers would be nice, but that's it. This past weekend was our 1 yr. anniversary and he bought me very nice earrings as a combo anniversary/"push present." We would not have normally done a push present, but it made us both feel better spending money on a gift that's doing "double duty."

DH did this for me (even did laundry and dishes  ) and I was estatic. Our beautiful girl was my gift.

My Best Friend's DH did this for her. My mom is good friends with BF's MIL and supposedly she offered to help her son clean the house and he refused and insisted on cleaning the whole thing by himself in anticipation of his son's homecoming

as long as he is by my side Im good I had him with me every waking moment last time so I know that he wont have time to clean the house or get me anything and that is fine.plus flowers i think i got like 5 different bouquet last time from everyone it seems thats the most popular gift for mommy lol

All my friends DH pretty much got them flowers and little things like that. Nothing huge. It is thoughtful if he does get a present though.

His gift to me could be taking off of work for the week. Getting this man to take off work is like trying to squeeze blood from a rock

I thought it would be nice to get a pair of earrings - just something simple like studs - of the babies' birth month...more of a remembrance of the pregnancy, and thought it would be cool because earrings come as "2".
Otherwise no I really doubt I'll be receiving a present, if anything I owe DH a present for putting up with me!
