Any tips for using First Response OPKs?
It's my first month using them and I'm kind of confused. according to fertilityfriend today should be my O day but I don't think I got a positive LH surge when I POAS this morning. The test line is slightly lighter than the referenceline but definitely darker than it was yesterday. Is the line supposed to get darker as you get closer to your LH surge? Should I test again this afternoon or wait until tomorrow morning?

I would maybe test with it 2x a day if u have enough sticks and start so you dont miss it, esp if the test line is only slightly lighter than the reference line. I used those back in feb/march and never once got a positive ... but bloodwork showed that i O'd

Re: Any tips for using First Response OPKs?
I tested again this afternoon, and now the test line is lighter than it was this morning, obviously lighter than the reference line. DH and I on Fri., Sat., and plan to tonight and I guess tomorrow to be safe. I'll test with the OPK again tomorrow, but maybe the line this morning was my surge since it was the darkest it's been so far and was so close to the reference line?

I started on CD 16 because I have a 33 day cycle and that's when the directions said to start...today is CD 19. Fertilityfriend says I'm supposed to O today... I don't get it!

Re: Any tips for using First Response OPKs?
So I was just reading a tutorial on OPKs on fertilityfriend and it said you shouldn't use fmu because it's not likely to detect an LH surge. Well it didn't say that in the directions from first response and I was using fmu so I wonder if that's why I never got a positive? At least DH and I during my estimated fertile window according to FF. If no bfp this cycle I will try a different OPK brand next month and maybe try temping.
