any suggestions would be appreciated....
So, I began suffering from complex migraine headaches (headache with an aura) when I was about 15 y/o. I was on medication for 7 years, then took myself off when I was in grad school...luckily, I only had about one per year, at most at that time. However, after about 10 years, the headaches just came back at full force. I have been having them an avg. of 3x/week. It is awful! I went to the neurologist and she said that I cannot take any meds, including Advil, because I am TTC and starting with infertility treatments. UGH!
Does anybody know of any homeopathic/natural treamtments for migraines? I am thinking of trying acupuncture or massage therapy, but also want to make sure it will be safe once I do (hopefully!!!!) get pg...
TIA!!!

in my own personal experience, i was getting bad headaches pretty often and never really understood why... until i found out my blood pressure was high. once i started watching my salt consumption the headaches stopped and my blood pressure went back down. is it possible that you could be having the same problem? just something to think about. i hope you feel better soon!!

Thank you for the thought, though I just had a full physical and my BP is normal. I am pretty convinced that the headaches are hormonally related, though I guess that doesn't really help much at this point! The neurologist could never really tell me why they happen, just that they are migraines and some people just get them...annoying!

oh man, im so sorry! have you tried maybe warm compresses on the back of your neck and/or some light massages around that area? also maybe warm damp towels over your eyes? when i get migraines the only thing that works is sleeping them away.

Re: any suggestions would be appreciated....
I know it may not be too helpful - but when I have a migraine or a sinus infection (the kind you cant even pick your head up its that bad) - i put on one of my relaxation CD's (bought from the massage place) with the water and birds, put it on really low, on repeat for the entire CD, put the fan on, close the curtains, and try and relax.. helps me.. hope you find some relief..
