Any other moms heading back to work in September??

My daughter is 18 months old. Last year when I went back, I don't even think she was crawling. Now she is this little person, with the sweetest personality, and really has become my shadow. While I know she will be in good hands with mom husband And mom, I'm going to miss the summer routine we made. I know I will get into a routine, but I know the first few days will drag because I will be counting the minutes til I come home.

I am going back. I have mixed feelings. My Dd is 20 months, and it was a great, fun summer. She's really into things now and I had a blast taking her places and watching her develop. On the other hand, once again, a long vacation confirmed that I cannot be a sahm! I'm craving some adult time and having different responsibilities other than her and the house. And I find that I am much more engaged with her when I only have a few hours a day, rather than all day when I feel like I should be getting other things done too!

I am going back in September and I am sooooo going to miss the summer. My DS is starting kindergarten and my DD is 15 months. I'd love to be able to stay home with her and be home to put him on the bus and take him off the bus. Unfortunately, being a SAHM is not in the cards for me. I have to work. I know September will suck, getting into a new routine. By October we will all be in a new normal. I just wish we didn't have to.

I'm starting my first year as a teacher and going from SAHM to FTWM. I'm really bummed about putting DD in daycare. I just feel like I will miss out on her development. I'm so not ready to leave her.

My LO is 4 months old today and I'm going back in September. . I'm so sad to leave her, but we just can't do it on one salary.

I am going back after four months of maternity leave for ds 2. I am thankful to have this time since the last time I only had 8 weeks since I had ds1 in the beginning of sept. We really do have the best job for being a mom. Honestly while I am sad to leave my boys, I am looking forward to getting into a routine.

Me! My feelings about going back to work vary depending upon the day. I am lucky that I have had 19 weeks with him, but like a pp stated I am looking forward to getting back into a routine.

I'm going back after being home a year, but not for child care leave- for medical leave. (Breast cancer). I have a 2 yo and 4 yo. I feel like I need another year to spend with them bc I lost so much of this year w treatment and drs.

Dd will be 18m. She's so much fun (except when she's not, lol), but I'm so dreading to go back to work.

i came back to work on Wednesday

I was home since May with my dd who is now 18 months and my son who is now 3 months

it was so tough coming back - but i know the kids are in good hands with my mom

DD is not adjusting to well though...she was awake from 2-4am last night i think she just wanted some attention though bc she was fine. i hope it gets easier for us both!

I haven't left DD since she was born (in May) thinking of going back seriously brings me to tears.. but we need the 2nd salary.

I am going back after maternity leave. I had my third baby May 4th. I go back to work next week (I'm a music therapist in a special ed preschool). I have such mixed feelings, as I always do. I love my job, and miss the kiddies and it will be great to be back. At the same time, I've been loving my time at home with my own kids. I am very fortunate though- my boys go to school where I work, and my daughter will start daycare there when I go back. So it definitely makes theverything transition a bit smoother.

I have such mixed feelings about going back. I've been home all summer and have enjoyed it with my dd. However, I miss adult interaction and am looking forward to getting back to a routine.
