Any brave mommies...?

I NEED SOME INSPIRATION!

Any mommies brave enough to bare their post-baby bellies?

I just need to know that my belly CAN look flat, normal, back-in-shape again!

If you're brave enough to bare your belly, please do! Help motivate me! I don't care if you're 3 months PP or 3 years... Chat Icon

Re: Any brave mommies...?

It can happen!!! After DD#1 my belly was totally flat, had no issue walking around in a bikini. Now after DD#2 it is still pretty good, she was almost 9 1/2 lbs and I am small, but I am still generally happy. I was also 36 when I had DD#2 so not quite as easy as DD#1 when I was in my 20's. I do not have a pic of my belly but maybe I will be brave and take one!Chat Icon

I do not "work out" but I am very active. I am NEVER sit(except when I am on LIFChat Icon ) I do not diet but I am a VERY VERY picky eater and have a small appetite. I have a fast metabolism and have horrible stomach issues, which make it easier for me to not gain alot of weight.
I just want to say this though, as Moms, we are sooooo hard on ourselves(me included) our bodies will never be what they once were but Look what we did. We sacraficed our bodies to have all these gorgeous babies. In the end, it is all worth it and we need to feel proud of ourselves. Getting your shape back may come easy to some and difficult to others, but as long as your are trying hard and showing your children good habits, what more can you do. We are all beautiful and women come in different shapes and sizes. We need to be good to ourselves and other women too. Chat Icon

OK- That picture made me want to go to the gym today!

YOU LOOK AMAZING!

I don't have a pic of my belly but it was never flat to begin with- I have to say with diet and exercise though, its looking better than before.

It can be done!

Re: Any brave mommies...?

Hayley, you can get there!!! I think we had similar figures before getting pregnant and honestly I haven't been working out as much as I want but always try to stay active in some way. I walk with DD almost every night and DH runs, I try to fit in some crossfit workouts and eat healthy. I'm not as toned as i'd like but i'm okay with that and I know if I really tried I could be.

What are you doing as far as working out?

I don't have any pics on the computer right now (just one on facebook where i'm in a bikini).

ok I will be brave for you. This was 1 year PP with my DD#1. I breastfed for 13 months and that helped me lost the weight fast and keep it off. I gained 30 lbs with her, and am currently almost 25 weeks preggo with DD#2. As soon as I stopped bf i did put on about 10 lbs but I have always been small and had a fast metabolism. I don't work out since I have no time to!! I just chased DD around all the time and worked FT.

Re: Any brave mommies...?

3 months post partum I was back into a bikini.
Skin was still loose and I still had a muffin top at this point though.
Standing up I looked fine, but sitting or leaning over you could tell I just had a baby.
External Image
You can see the loose skin better here with me sitting down
External Image

Here I am 8 months post partum. At this point still was 10 lbs above pre pregnancy weight, but had been running again and was getting more toned. ( i tried to hide my messy room with the black frameChat Icon)

Here is 1 week before Landon's 1st birthday

I don't think I have others since I am always the one taking the pics, but if I find any I will post.

Now my sister looked like my 1 year picture at 3 weeks post partum!

Don't worry, you will get it back! Chat Icon

Re: Any brave mommies...?

Well, this was the day I found out I was pregnant with Luke, 15 months after having Nina. I had lost most of the weight but I was still not as slim as I was before Nina. My stomach did get flat again. I had gained 50lbs with Nina. This time Im having a harder time, my belly is still soft, I gained 55lbs this time around.

Exactly! I wear a slimmer thing for my belly and so in clothes I look fine... but I wouldn't step foot near a bikini!
