another vitamin question
hi ladies im new to the board and not ttc yet but i just wanted to see if anyone else has compared regular vitamins to prenatal vitamins. i was comparing them yesterday and they had the same amount of folic acid and the regular ones had a little less iron. the PN vitamins were about $5 more, i'm guessing cuz they were PN? i ended up buying the regular vitamins cuz there didnt seem to be much of a difference. anyone else do that?

Not sure what are in the regular, but I read that the DHA in prenatals is what is most important.

I take reg vitamins, fish oil & folic acid. I used to take prenantals but they made me constipated (sorry TMI)

the ones i am taking have fish oil and folic acid along with high doses of everything else that i can see. My nails are growing like CRAZY.

I've been wondering about this too. My doctor told me that a regular multivitamin was fine for now. I make sure the ones I get look comperable to the prenatals but I've been wondering if I'm missing something.

i am taking a regular one a day vitamin. I have a dr. appt tomorrow though for my annual check up and I plan to talk to my dr. about TTC. I will ask him about prenatals and stuff. I can update you!
