If i worked FT, even after daycare we'd still be able to do that- but its amazing how much your priorities shift when these little ones come along!
It's definitely been an adjustment, though, to not just buy whatever you want whenever you want it. I wouldn't say we were struggling b/c we're not- we still have a nice savings and put some away each month, but i still go back and forth sometimes with my decision. Honestly, i LOVE working PT and being with DD every single day (when i work, i work nights), and i think that that's more important than the extra $$$, but it still pops into my head once in a while. 
This sometimes inspires me to stop at 2 kids but I think in a few years, $2500/mo. to daycare won't exist - we could really enjoy ourselves But in my heart - I know I'll be daycare poor for many years to come
lol!! Let me tell you--you will find other things for it. There is something almost every week I need to pay for, for school or after school activities. It just gets more expensive as the kids get older as they ALWAYS need something--

When we're both working, we save a very nice sum each month. However, I'm on unpaid maternity leave until September and some months will be dipping into our savings.

Including our 401Ks and savings we save an average of 30% of our income every month.
