Another Nursery School Ques
Are the 2 & 3 year old programs typically taught by certified teachers or just parents that have been hired?
Also, are most nursery programs affiliated with a church? Are there any that aren't?

Re: Another Nursery School Ques
Where are you looking? I know by me some nursery school are in churches but not affiliated with them. My daughter's school rents the space from the church, there is no religious aspect of her school.
Not sure about teachers but I do believe to be a nursery school at least one person has to be a certified teacher and then others can work under their supervision. At least that's how it was when my Mom taught back in the day. Never thought to ask, TBH. The director did tell me they follow the common core guidelines for Pre-K so I figured she'd be well prepped for K.

I'm looking for a school around Franklin Square/Malverne/West Hempstead.
So far I went to one and its taught by parents. There are certified teachers, but in the other grades. I wasn't sure if that was the norm.
