Another MTHFR question??
Since I have homogenous MTHFR, Do i need to start looking for any other Specialist besides my RE and OBGYN.
We are going to start TTC in a few weeks. I wasn't sure if I should start looking for a High Risk Obgyn?? Would I need a High Risk?
Or is there any other Dr I should be seeing?

Re: Another MTHFR question??
I have MTHFR also and see a perinatologist, (which deals with maternal and fetal medicine.)

I started seeing Dr. k about 2 months before getting PG (I ended up m/c'ing). He put me on a specific protocol, which I brought back to the RE for my next cycle.

Re: Another MTHFR question??
I went to an OB that barely considered my MTHFR (homozygous) an issue. THe first thing my RE said was "You can never be on the pill again." So I think REs have a different perspective. He ended up running one more test to see if my levels (homosysteine I think) were within normal range so he could decide if I needed more care other than taking baby aspirin after transfers.
So I would see an RE. Or if you see an OB, find one who will take it seriously.
