America, what have you done?
I'm sad. Not that Hillary lost, but that Trump won. I don't want to have to see his face and hear him talk for the next 4 years. But the only thing we can do now is hope that everything works out for our country.

That quote is the only thing I have been hearing over & over again from trump supporters. I want to smack my head against the wall every time I do.
I am scared but I really hope I am wrong to be scared.

You let hate win. There is simply no other way to put it. You have validated oppression and hatred towards minorities, women, the LGBTQ+ community, muslims, Jews, immigrants, the disabled, and more.
If you're not worried or scared for those people you sit in a place of privelige. We just set ourselves back fifty to a hundred years in one single night. If you thought tension in this country was bad it's going to get worse. The government is now going to actively seek to disenfranchise the disenfranchised in a way I didn't think was possible.
The markets are crashing because the world is reacting to our ineptness. We are not capable of democracy at this point. I am not sure when you'll all wake up and realize that this isn't a joke and the consequences are very, very real.
This wasn't the way to change our country for the best. The sick pit of despair in my stomach is because of the monster you created. How does it feel to openly support such hate? I hope anyone who voted for Trump will be able to look themselves in the mirror and feel good about where this country is now headed. You'll only have yourselves to blame.
I wish for peace and prayers for anyone on LIF who is person of color, a Muslim, a Jew, an immigrant, disabled or handicapped, a woman who feels the sting of this sexism, and anyone else who has to question their safety and existence in this country. I stand with you and will fight with you. The fear you're feeling breaks my heart and I'm sorry.
I'm sorry we've failed.
Preach! This country is azz backwards. We have no one to blame but ourselves after tonight. RIP America, a once great nation. Peace out, it's been real!
ITA 100% agree!! This is a dark day in American history.
And people worry about the electoral college??? I think we need to start giving out IQ tests before handing out the right to vote! Here's to 4 years of sh!t!!!

This man wanted to be president clearly because he is a narcissistic, egomaniac and loves being in a position of power. When he speaks or goes on a twitter rampage all I think is he sounds like a child who is whining who can't get his way. He has no filter, he speaks before actually making an educated decision and whines like a toddler. How is someone like this going to handle foreign relations ? How is someone like this going to make our country feel safe when all he does is spew hatred ? I actually had tears in my eyes when I woke my daughter up for school because I just can't believe this is her president. He is a disgusting man and I feel sick today.

i have been crying on and off all night.
i have a job interview at 11 and i can't put myself together enough to even shower.
it's for a job i'm not too interested in, and i already feel like i have to get this job and take it and be stuck there because of how scared i am.
my thoughts ar every negative, and all i keep thinking is, when they start coming for those they want out, will i be brave enough to stand in their way? or will i be one of their victims?

Omg, I am so sorry. I am crying thinking about my Latino immigrant brother in law, my nephews, my gay cousin, my disabled friends, my minority non-Christian friends, my children and especially my newborn DD who have to deal with this. It's just plain wrong.

Trump is for people who care about themselves.
Hilary is for people who care about others.
Either way it's bigger than either of them. It's a government (to be) filled with skewed decision-makers. It's regression.
But, we must take the next 4 years and make sure we vote in our local elections in the meantime. For a real change.

Yes. Cried for my DD too. She heard Trump won in the car this morning and said "But Mommy, he's mean to girls. I don't want him being mean to me".
