Am I the only crazy one
I am so upset it is already July.  This whole week it felt like October in the mornings. The days are starting to get shorter. I know summer just started, my kids just ended school last week. Blah, blah.  But once July hits, I just always start to anticipate fall, which in and of itself is wonderful, but then comes winter. Snow. Nasty. Yes it is July 1st. I admit I am crazy town.  Just wondering if I was alone. I loathe all things winter!!!!

With today being cold and windy AF, I felt the same way. I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt tonight!!
I also feel like because my mom, brother, brother inlaw, niece and my bdays are all within a week of each other starting June 25th , by the time we celebrate all of it, including the 4th - I blink and it's the end of July already.
Not gonna lie, once August hits, I'm usually counting down till fall (my favorite season) because the extreme heat sucks and my frizzbomb hair hates it! Lol

Soak it up. Don't think about the shittty fall. Summer JUST started.
If I let myself start to think the way you are describing I go down a very dark path so I don't allow myself to think about it anymore.
Yes, living in NY aka Nova Scotia does suck and I hate our weather, I hate that summers are never hot anymore.
But you have to enjoy this!

Admittedly, this summer has been pretty cool so far. I love it. I am thrilled at the prospect of fall coming soon, the holidays and even the winter.
I hate the summer, the oppressive humidity, the gross bugs, the sweat, the sand. yuck!! I am counting down the days until pumpkin spice comes out!

It was tbe first Memorial Day Monday where the high temp didn't get out of the 50's in I don't know how long. It was record setting. I remember being in a sweatshirt and freezing that weekend
Not sure what is going on but it's been cooler than summers I remember in the past lately.
My AC bills have been lower and my pool heating bills way higher.

I think the spring went by quickly because the weather was so weird. I put my boots away and took them out a few times before finally putting them away for good.

I enjoy the fall too. I'm not a fan of winter though... I just wish the fall lasted longer and wasn't followed by flu season.

They've definitely been hot and stretching well into October so that the fall feels like summer. Last fall was so warm. It was only 3 years ago Xmas was almost 80 degrees!! I was so thankful for a cooler spring after this letdown of a winter with hardly any cold or snow. Hope it's all a sign that we get a mild summer too. I have ZERO interest in 90's and sticky oppressive humidity. I'm in survival mode this time of year, get through the summer and come out on the glorious side of fall.

I was in Sayville right on the water. It was very very windy and cool. I wasn't the only one freezing. Everyone had sweatshirts on and it was pretty dead there because it was so unpleasant.

Yeah, this summer has been pretty cool so far.
But climate change is real and beyond our local weather. The temperature of the planet overall is increasing with increasing carbon emissions. But truly, last summer was brutally hot. Multiple days over 90 degrees, high humidity. This past February, it reached like 75 degrees multiple times. Not normal. And very hot.

It was so hot and humid near me yesterday - it was disgusting. I went on a 7 mile run at 7:30 am and was literally dripping in sweat within seconds.

That's how I felt after my first winter there. I was depressed on June 21 bc I knew the days were getting shorter and it reminded me of winter coming. Thankfully the next 2 winters weren't as bad and I didn't feel sad on summer solstic.

I really make a concentrated effort not to because I don't like to think that way. Something else that works for me is to have something fun planned for when that "dreaded" period of time comes.
