Alexandra's EI Evaluation results -- sort of...
I called today since they said they would have the results by the end of last week. The evaluator was in her car, and didn't have Ale's paperwork with her, but said she is not eligible for EI. I couldn't talk more because my supposedly vocally-challenged DD was screaming up a storm.
Then the lady from Nassau County called. They don't have the report yet, but she said Ale scored over 100% on "the first section" and 90% on "the second section." So, I don't know what these sections are -- but when I get the report I guess I will. Either way, she said her scores were "outstanding."
So, I am relieved and grateful. To be told by professionals that DD is developing well and performing well is a load off my mind. She has been talking more and more since I took her bottle away, and I imagine once I get the cojones to take away the paci she'll speak even more.
But I am so glad I followed my pediatrician's advice and got her evaluated, at least for my own peace of mind.

usually you need a 70% or below to qualify. I didnt think she needed EI at all and was very surprised your Ped reccomended it at the level she is talking at. Shes just a "slow talker" not a LATE one and thats likely due to the second language as you thought. Good for HER!!
