Yeah about a week and then he goes back to work for 3 more weeks and then he's off for the summer... He's a teacher...

My DH works for a family business, so he's pretty flexible. He'll take off the week, plus some if he has to.

Luckily my DH owns the business so he can take as much time as he wants, the business should be able to run itself.

Good question. I'm sure he will take a week or so. We are moving back to NY in june and he will have to start job hunting asap. Hopefully they let him have a week.

My brother in law just informed my DH that he has got to take a least a week off. DH says he can't because he doesn't get paid. He works with his dad. I find it very annoying that his dad wont pay him something.

Yes for at least a week or so. He has about 5 weeks vaction this year and a week of sick and personal time. Plus his job is real flexible allowing him to work from home when he needs too.

AL gets 2-3 weeks of paternity leave, but he works from home, so he'll be home anyway.
Sometimes he travels for work, and I think I may "ground" him for a month or so before and after baby.

Dh plans on taking a week and 1/2 off, then some more time as we go into the summer. His job is flexible with letting him work from home too.

Scott got 1 week of paternity leave plus 2 weeks of vacations plus the company is closed the week of Christmas-New Years so he was home really almost 4 weeks
I have to say I can't believe someone's father would not pay them to be home with their own grandchild. That just seems selfish.

That's crazy! I'm sorry but his dad needs to be reminded that this is his grandchild!
DH will definitely take a week. Longer if I can convince him that the world will continue to rotate without him!
