Advice on what to buy
I'm going maternity clothes shopping for the first time tomorrow with mom. I am in the middle of my fifth month and not showing that much but obviously I will get bigger. I'm not sure how many pairs of pants I will need. What size I should buy? Shirts? Bras? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Advice on what to buy
First time around, you need to buy for the phase you are in. You never know how big you will end up being. Get what fits you now and a size up if you want to prepare. I'm not very helpful, but have fun shopping.

Re: Advice on what to buy
I'm usually a size 4 in pants. When I first tried maternity pants, I tried the small and they fit BUT I bought medium bc I wanted them to last through my pregnancy. This worked for me bc I wore the same clothes for the entire time. Now that it's towards the end I mostly wear sweatpants. I bought a few pairs of black pants, 2 dresses, a pair of khaki pants and gray pants. I also bought a couple of pairs of yoga pants. I also bought 2 pairs of jeans. As for shirts, I mostly wore the ones I already have but I bought some basic colored shirts that go with anything. I also bought a few dress shirts for work. I found JC Penney to be the best for me. They were inexpensive and lasted the enitre 9 months. The store doesn't have a great selection buy online was great. I would start buying a little larger than you are and add pieces as needed. Hope this helps.

Re: Advice on what to buy
They say to choose your size based on what your size was pre pregnancy. So if you wore a size 6 in pants before then you will buy a size 6 maternity pants. Same for shirt sizes. I would buy 2 or 3 pairs of pants and a few shirts. If they're a little big now, you'll grow into them for sure. If you end up getting very big later on you can always pick up a few more things. Have fun shopping!!!
