acupuncture

I went for acu 1x week during my first IVF cycle last year. That cycle was negative and now I am starting my 2nd IVF cycle next month and I am wondering if I should try acu again.

Any thoughts? Experiences?

You have to consult the scientific journals for evidence on whether it increases your chances of success.

I did acupuncture the first and third IVF cycle - first was negative and the third was positive. For the third cycle I went a few times leading up to the retrieval & transfer and I particularly went the day of the transfer and a few times during the following week and a half.

I went for my IUI and my first IVF- did not work
my second IVF I did not go- It worked, but sadly ended in m/c.

I didn't do acupuncture for my first IVF. I did get pregnant but m/c'd and the quality of my eggs were on the poor side.

For my 2nd IVF I did it, I went 2x per week prior to my retrieval, and they got 18 eggs, 14 fertilized, 10 made it to a day 3 transfer and 6 were frozen. (first cycle, retrieved 6, 5 fertilized, 3 made it to day 3 and none to freeze). I then went the day before transfer and then right after my transfer I got pregnant with twins, but only carried one to full term.

I did accupuncture during my first IVF cycle and got PG. I def. think it helped me stay relaxed throughout the entire process.
