I've always gone with HR Block and never had a problem, but my taxes are really easy, no special deductions. Not much has changed, except for being married, so we'll stick with HR.

for my situation this year an accountant is the best choice
I used to do it my self- however- since I got married in 2005- and my huband opened a business in 2005
and then he needed to close a deal and couldn't do it in his name- he put it thru in mine- so that added $$$- but 1099- on top of my regular salary- I need help!
it's so compicated I can't even explain it

for the $125 it cost us to do H & R....we did it again this year. Done in a matter of an hour and we had our direct deposit in 8 days!

We go to an accountant! She was my accountant before I met my DH & she is great. Always gets me $$$$ back!

Last year I used H&R block. got $$ back.. but the guy i have been going to there retired. tried to use turbo tax- got half of what i got back last year! no thanks... going to an accountant.

I do them myself. Once you start and read it through, it becomes very simple. The instrustions are there, your just taking figures and putting them on the right line, and then adding and subtracting.
I have taught so many people to do taxes and I do my families, and in laws. They always want to pay me for it, when I wish they would just let me teach them how easy it is.

we pretty much always did our own but my DH has a business now so we have an accountant.

We found that with the accountant that there were things we could deduct that are legal that we never would have thought of. Once we went to him, we would never go back to doing it ourselves.
