 | A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today One woman said when she's done pumping, instead of cleaning the tubes and attachments...she puts them in a ziplock bag in the fridge.
 Thoughts?

Riley was on her best behavior so I was able to wash it...but wondering if I ever get desperate, maybe I'll try this.

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today I know you can leave the stuff out for up to ten hours without fair of bacteria. Probably the same principal in the fridge only it last longer than 10 hours. |

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today do you need to wash the tubes every time you pump? or are you talking about the horns? |

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today hmmm now that I think about it, why DO I have to wash the tubes? nothing goes into them, it just pumps air. Ugh no wonder I already have condensation issues...
I'm so new to this stuff, I'm clueless!

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today There was only one time I needed to wash the tubes - when I wasn't paying attention & had pumped more than the bottle held. The milk backed up into the tubes. That's what happens when you are pumping while on a conference call at work |

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today certain pumps require you to clean the tubing... depends on the pump

i actually prefer to sterilize the horns everytime... more because the warmth helps with milk flow... cold refridge horns i can tell you do.. the do the opposite

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today I sterlize my tubes every couple of weeks-- but don't wash every time.
The other parts-- I have to clean every time-- especially because a LC told me not to mix BM of different temps, so I wouldn't pump into a cold bottle.

 | Re: A tip I got at breastfeeding support group today I did this when I went back to work for the last month of school. I was pumping twice a day so I would store the horns in the fridge and they were fine to pump through. |
