How close are you to your niece? Your brother/sister/or in law? Is there a party? Where?
I would say $150-200... Im super close to my family and my in laws so that's what I have given to my niece and nephews.

I haven't been to any family ones so far I have given about $50. I got $50-$75 as an average from family and friends though some family gave over that

This - if it was just me and my DH and there was a party involved.

I would likely give $150-$175 for my niece/nephew (assuming of course that I could afford that and it was within my budget).

A how much to give question (sorry!)
We just had DS's christening last weekend and were gifted anywhere from $0 from his uncle to $100 from family friends. I think it depends on your budget and what you feel comfortable giving. Personally, if I ever end up having nieces or nephews I'd probably do around $100.

Re: A how much to give question (sorry!)
This was recently a question I posed and I'm clearly in the minority, so take my answer with a grain of salt. My dh was just the godfather to our niece. We gave her a $600+ diamond cross to wear and then a $300 check.

Same. This would be for very close family. As in my sister's children ( I was Godmother to one) or DH's sister's children

These threads always make me feel weird. $600 cross and then $300? $500 cash? Am I just really not well off at all, or am I a cheap *******?

I can assure you that the responses on here are not the norm. $100 is totally fine.

I agree. I wouldn't even give that to my own kid lol.
I'd say $75-$100.
