A big change in my life
Well, its Friday night and the time seemed right to let you all know that...
I have quit my job!
After 12 years of working with the same people through several different companies, I decided to become a full time stay at home mummy!! I am very excited and very nervous at the same time, but the decision to do this has felt like the right-est thing I have ever done!
What swayed it was that we did the sums and we would only be £300 ($500) better off a month if I went back to work 4 days a week. We would be busting our humps trying to drop two kids off at two different places on time everyday and it would just not be a nice lifestyle for us.
So there you go!
If you are a FB friend please don't say anything because its not been announced to my colleagues yet, some of whome are my FB friends.
So here's to my new life! Wife, Mother, Professional School Runner, Lady of Leisure, Babygroup attendee, etc etc!

Come on over, its all coffee mornings and baby groups here.
Actually, we have this fantastic government organisation here called Sure Start, and every neighbourhood has their own brand new SureStart Centre, and basically, mon - fri, 9-5 they have things on for mothers and babies, and everything is free, and they give you tea and toast! They do classes, breastfeeding support groups, playgroups, childminder playgroups, dad and baby groups. Brilliant! So that could keep us busy...

I know! The funny thing is that last Monday I went to Breastfeeding cafe and there were 5 girls there...One Russian, one Polish, One Finnish, One American and One British. Typical.

When I told DH that I'd need to revisit the work situation he reminded me that I could not be a Lady that Lunches...so I said nevermind. But you make it sound good again!
