America, what have you done?
I'm trying to hold back tears.
This isn't about Hillary losing.
You let hate win. There is simply no other way to put it. You have validated oppression and hatred towards minorities, women, the LGBTQ+ community, muslims, Jews, immigrants, the disabled, and more.
If you're not worried or scared for those people you sit in a place of privelige. We just set ourselves back fifty to a hundred years in one single night. If you thought tension in this country was bad it's going to get worse. The government is now going to actively seek to disenfranchise the disenfranchised in a way I didn't think was possible.
The markets are crashing because the world is reacting to our ineptness. We are not capable of democracy at this point. I am not sure when you'll all wake up and realize that this isn't a joke and the consequences are very, very real.
This wasn't the way to change our country for the best. The sick pit of despair in my stomach is because of the monster you created. How does it feel to openly support such hate? I hope anyone who voted for Trump will be able to look themselves in the mirror and feel good about where this country is now headed. You'll only have yourselves to blame.
I wish for peace and prayers for anyone on LIF who is person of color, a Muslim, a Jew, an immigrant, disabled or handicapped, a woman who feels the sting of this sexism, and anyone else who has to question their safety and existence in this country. I stand with you and will fight with you. The fear you're feeling breaks my heart and I'm sorry.

Devastated :( I cannot believe that this is the type of person the majority of Americans want representing us and working for us. I cannot believe after all these moths of watching this asshole that I now have to explain to my kids that he is the new president. Disgusted at this nation right now. America showed it's true colors tonight and it's not a pretty sight. Ashamed.

Im devastated. I can't believe I have to tell my 2 daughters that a man who said he can "grab women by their *****" is now the leader of the free world. I just can't believe it. I'm shocked this is really happening.
He was right when he said he could shoot someone and not loose votes. Gotta give it to him he knew exactly how to win. His strategy all along to fuel hate has worked.
I feel like I have to hold onto Obamas feet like a child on Jan 20th so he won't leave.

my heart hurts for the innocent babies who have to grow up with this mess. I apologize to my children for failing them.
I can't sleep. My stomach is in knots.

I'm sorry- you are nuts. No time to be PC or nice right now. Do you have a daughter? How can you be happy to tell her a man who would "grab her *****" (if she's pretty enough) is our new leader? I have a one month old DD and I am just desvastated.
I echo the other pp's. I've slept maybe two hours and been crying. Tossing and turning- how will I explain to my kids that this country elected that piece of trash to lead and represent us? I am horrified and disgusted. Our nation disgusts me right now. We have to fight this. I feel our survival literally depends on it.

Ugh this is so disgusting. I can't believe people actually think he is what we need. And I'm shocked that people think he's so different from Clinton. I mean a few years ago they were friends enough to attend his wedding. They run in the same circle with the same rich friends and that's who they'll be looking out for. Not the white working class. I didn't think Clinton was great but at least she wasn't spewing hitler-like hatred.
My only consolation is that hopefully in four years when everything is in the shitter, we are an international embarrassment, and trump has done none of what he promised that we can say "I told you so." Of course that's assuming we don't get nuked first.

My greatest fear is not for the next 4 years. We as a country are strong enough to deal with that. It's the lasting legacy of hate that he will seat on the Suprme Court that has me more frightened than I've ever been

What do you think Trump is going to do for the middle class? As a businessman, he has a history of not paying people for the work that they've done. Just the other day, the National Labor Relations Board ruled against him as he has refused to sit down and negotiate with the workers at his hotel who unionized earlier this year. This is not the first anti-union charge against him. He has no respect for the working class.

Yep. I don't get what the working class thinks he's going to do for them. Unfortunately I think these people are going to be seriously disappointed in the next few years. I'm sure they'll continue to blame it on Obama though.
