In my personal life, YES, better than I ever would have expected.
Financially, God no.
Career-wise, no, not at all. I never would have imagined I would not be using my degree or certifications and would be a stay at home mom. I mean, I'm homeschooling my kids, so I guess technically I'm using my degree, but not the way I expected!!

Eh sort of. I thought I'd have 2 kids by 30. I'm having one just before I turn 31. But otherwise, besides my crappy low salary, I think I'm doing alright!

I always think I will feel older once I reach a certain age, but I never do. I always still feel the same. So I guess my answer is no, dont get my wrong I am 100% happy with my life and cant imagine it any other way right now, but 10 years ago I thought I'd be in a different place. Sorry if this makes no sense!

When I was in high school i thought by now i would be a speech pathologist, happily married with kids and a dog.
I'm an information security engineer, divorced, with a son and no dog.
So no...not where I thought I would be...but I'm still happy. :)

Other than where I'm at in my career, yes. I got I to teaching at a difficult time, and while I have a job it isn't where I would like to be long time. It's also stopping me from furthering my education.

No way. I imagined I would be married, have a fulfilling career, have a family and be financially stable by my age. I only have 2 of those things going for me now.

I think in hs, I thought by my age (32) I'd be married with 2-3 kids and well established in my career. The only thing that's different is I'm expecting my first child instead of already having a family. My age seemed so much "older" back then lol

I don't think I ever thought I would be this old. lol.
Honestly, I only thought I would be married with a family and a stable job and I have all that, so I guess so.
BUT , I never realized how hard this ideal would be. or how hard life was generally. I figured it would always be this lacksidaisical lalaland no responsibility world I used to live in.
Who knew there was so much pressure?
