Just wanted to post a picture of the finished product - Our dining room.

Does homegoods have a good selection of rugs? I was thinking about doing something like you with the rug under the table but I dont want to spend a fortune.

Yes they have probably around 30 to 35 rugs to chose from....and every day there is different stuff there. We went back a few times before we finally found this one, and we were lucky to get there when we did - because there was another woman interested in it

Which one did you goto... I went to one a few weeks back and they didnt have much and the prices seemed outragous... But when they are mention on LIF I hear such great reviews...

Seamans - We used to use it as our kitchen table. It is a really nice dark wood table - On top is a frosted glass - and the table extends...and there is a leaf inside the table that pulls out....

Scott you are so funny...you say "finally" and you have done sooo much in so little time, it's amazing!! I have lived in this house 3 years and still don't have a rug - or anything on the walls - in my dining room!!!

I say finally - because we didnt have a rug under our table and the floor is such a PITA to keep clean - It is beautiful but it shows everything.
It felt like an eternity for us to get all the work done on the house where we would be able to move in. I know it was only 9 weeks, but it was nine really long weeks. I never thought in a million years, that dusty house with the floors ripped up, the busted through walls, and the unfinished bathroom is the same one that we live in now. The transformation of our house is amazing. It doesnt look like the same house that it did when we signed the contract in July 04.
