6w3d Sono today.....
It was actually bittersweet for me. Apparantly the smaller sac is still empty & has not grown much. The RE feels it is safe to say that it will not amount to anything 
On the flipside, the other sac is growing rapidly & I got to see the baby's head, body & even the flickering of the HB  My RE said everything looks well for that baby & that he is going to release me next week. He told me to call my OB & schedule. So I have my first appt with the OB on the 20th!
DH & I are definately disappointed but in the same aspect, thrilled to be having a baby!!!!

That's definitely bittersweet news but at least you have one healthy baby.

I had a similar experience where my third sac "vanished" -- I sometimes wonder if that was my little girl......But I rejoice in my twins -- just as you will with your singleton! I am so happy that you got to see the heartbeat -- it's so incredibly real at that point!!

I already told you but, I am so sorry that the smaller sac didn't develop but, the sweet side is that you have a pregnancy and I know it will all be fine.

I had the same thing happen to me- well actually at 6w neither had h/b, at 7w both did and then at 8w we lost one. It's SO tough, you want to be estatic that you are finally pregnant, but at the same time you are sad about the twin. Try to stay positive, you have a healthy bean going strong in there

I went through the same thing after my IVF. It truly is bittersweet, but try to take comfort in knowing your other baby is growing well!

Thank you ladies....It definately was difficult to know that last week we had the "possibility" of twins but I could not be happier to know that one of them is really striving!!!! I had to take some moments when I got home but I am being strong for the little bean inside!!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you lost or are losing one baby....
but thank goodness, all is well with their sibling!
Bittersweet is a good way to describe....
