Disney questions - 19 month old

Ok, sorry if I'm duplicating but I did do a search and could not come up with any relevant posts.

We leave for Disney Sunday the 6th for 5 days.

1. DS has had a runny nose for about 4 days now. No cough or fever.
Will he have problems flying with some congestion? What can I do to ease any possible pain from the pressure? I thought I heard that there was some product out there that helps with that but maybe I am going crazy.

2. Also, any advice or thoughts on things that should be on my packing list for DS that might not be obvious (like diapers)?

TIA!

We're leaving to go to disney on sunday too! DS is almost 22m old.

He has a runny nose too. I dont think he's sick so I'm not really doing anything. Maybe triaminic for the airplane so he can breathe a little better.

When I get there I'm buying diapers, a bottle brush for sippys, and soap detergent. Its hard to use regular sponges to clean sippys. I dont want to pack the suitcase with diapers and take up space I could use for something else.

I think they will be okay with runny noses. I would start loading up on the vitamin c and d though to ward off any new viruses. I've read on the Disney boards that a stomach virus is going around in Disney....lots of people ending up sick on their trip. So I would make sure you wash wash wash and use hand sanitizer after the rides. Have fun!

Re: Disney questions - 19 month old

We just got back from our trip- had lots of fun! My sons are 3 and 18 months.

I saw what the PP wrote about a stomach virus going around Disney. It is true- my 18 month old got it. Luckily, it didn't happen until our last day so he still had a fun trip.

I would also advise bringing lots of plastic bags. Good for diaper changes, random trash/wrappers, etc. The weather was great and we had fun!
