questions about feeding a 4 month old
my son has reflux,and has to have cerel in every bottle,since 1 month old.
since he has cerel in each bottle,i cant feed him cerel by spoon yet.
do you think this is an ok schedual?
do you think he is getting enough milk?
i tryed to increase,but he throws up too much,but he is gaining weight good.
this is his schedual...for the day
6oz bottle upon waking with cerel in it
fruit,followed by 4oz bottle w/cerel in it
veggie with 4oz bottle w/ cerel in it
fruit,followed by 4oz bottle w/cerel in it
before bed 6 oz bottle with cerel
total of 24 oz of formula a day
my doctor doesn't really offer me an answers,just give him more if he wants it. what do you think?

as long as he is gaining weight and the doc says he is fine I am sure its fine

my DD is 4 months today and has reflux too... we put rice cereal in her bottles too. she goes to ped on Monday so i'm going to ask how we go about starting her on food. i'll let you know what she says. we are also seeing her gastro specialist on Tuesday. she now gets 6oz bottles with 3 tablespoons of rice cereal 4x per day...
you could try just increasing 1 of the bottles from 4oz to 5oz with fruit/veggie and see how he does?? i think with reflux its all hit or miss and trial/error with what works for your baby
