Need help choosing evaluators...
Ds is 3 and a half and his daycare is worried about a speech delay. We tried evaluated him at 18 months when we lived in the Bronx, but that didn't go so well. We are now in North Bellmore and the district has a program for pre-school special ed, but first has to be evaluated. The list they gave me of centers is 5 pages long! A friend recommended Variety Child Learning Center in Syosset and the Hagedorn Little Village School in Seaford. I guess it doesn't matter where they are located, since they come to us. The list is too extensive to write them all out, so are any of you familiar with some really good centers/evaluators? The list covers Nassau/Suffolk. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Little Village
Both my kids have been evaluated there. DS when he went from EI to CPSE and my DD for EI.
they are a Speech School and the evaluators are TOP NOTCH.

I've used Little Village with all the evaluations. My DS gets services and we have experience with a few agencies. Little Village is on top of their paperwork - you get evals and reports very quickly, which I did not find to be the case with two of the other agencies we dealt with.

Up wee grow was Awesome! They really listen to the parents. I did have a problem with the OT evaluator if you need specfics please fm me

i am a special ed. teacher and many of my students had their PCSE evals. done through Variety.
