6 month old constipated?

Dd is 6.5 months. She is ebf but started some solids recently. She's had avocado banana yams and butternut squash. Yesterday in 2hours she threw up 7x with my mother. But was happy as can be. Pooped 3x but only a little bit each time.

Today she hasn't thrown up but pooped once and it was a tiny bit. She has been straining to go for a few days. She'll strain, her face goes purple and then she'll "talk" to you almost like she's trying to explain something is going on.

No fever and she is acting and sleeping great.

What do I do???

My DS' poops became more hard after I started feeding him solids more. I gave him prunes and that solved the problem.

Yep, I gave my little guy some prune juice, and another time gave him pear juice ( both diluted with water ofcourse). He got constipated right around 7 months. Both times, he went by the end of the day.

DD was constipated when we gave her peas and started her on oatmeal. I gave her more fiber rich foods and DH gave her one whole pouch of pureed prunes and that cleared it right up LOL

Ds was constipated when he was that little. Ped said to give him prune juice mixed with water. Keep doing every few hours until it works!

I went shopping and couldn't find prune baby food or plums to make my own! I bought organic prune juice and organic dried plums. I gave her watered down prune juice and she seemed to like it a lot. Also tried the qtip and vasoline and while a teeny bit came out it didn't really work.

Nurses her and she went to bed. Do I continue with the prune/water juice every few hours? And once she starts going do I re-introduce solids but smaller amounts? It's so sad hearing her cry out like she's trying to tell me something is wrong.
