6 month old and fever

DD is 6 months. i just took her temp and it's 101.2. she also has a very tight sounding cough. i am nervous bc she is so young.
2 weeks ago she had a runny nose and loose cough. i took her to doc and he said her lungs, ears, and throat were clear. it got better but today she looks awful.
i can tell by her face that she is sick.
what do you think it could be??
i plan on taking her to doc in morning but i'm so nervous that her fever is going to get worse.
i gave her tylenol and am waiting to see if it goes down.

That is actually a low grade fever. She may have a virus or something. A humidifier may help with the cough. I'm sure it will go down if you gave her tylenol. DD actually had a fever that hit 106.5Chat Icon That was scary, so I can understand that you are nervous. Why not call the doctor-that's what they are there for. It may make you feel betterChat Icon

Re: 6 month old and fever

DS just had this, in fact, he has had the cough for going on 4 weeks Chat Icon just finished 10 days of antibiotics and still coughing on and off but no longer at night Chat Icon Chat Icon

he started with the cough and then had a runny nose for maybe a day or two and then the cough got worse. we took him to the Ped for the cough and they found an ear infection. Ped thought the cough was from his ear draining, not sure that I buy that. He coughed ALL night long for 2 weeks...

we used and are still using a humidifier with baby vicks on his feet. also using the Vicks pads in the humidifier. he had a temp a few times but nothing above 100.5

id call the Ped just to be sure. does she sound weezy? maybe they should test her for RSV!
