UPDATE FROM 5 W APT! BETA # 3 IS IN!!
not to stop prog and estrace, b/c they need to confirm that it drops to 0 in a few days. What does it mean? 5.3 is negative, right?????  this can not be a non-viable pregnancy, right??????????? anyone????
UPDATE- Pregnancy tests are all positive. They were negative on Wed. I am scared shi$$less. Is it a sign of ectopic??
UPDATE # 2 my beta # 2 from Saturday ( 17 dp IUI) is 42.2. RE is saying it is a nice increase, but i am not feeling it.
For the girls who said about chemical, does beta increase with chemical? i thought it drops
UPDATE #3 . ok, so I know that my RE has the number for beta # 3 since 4.42 pm today ( getting a little anxious here ), but i still have not heard from him. Office closed at 5pm and i could not get ahold of anyone. I am hoping it is not b/c the results are crap that he is not sending me the info. I can not wait already God Forbid i have to wait till tomorrow.
BETA # 3 is 112! i think they want me to go for 4th one, i got disconnected. i actually dropped my cell when i heard the number no more betas, going for u/s on Wed. I do not know what to feel
ladies, question: on Wed when i go in for 1st u/s, i will be exactly 4 weeks post IUI. Isn't it early to see anything? there is no way my beta will climb to 1,000 by that time

sounds chemical. mine was a 5 once and dr. B told me it was chemical although depending on what you read some say anything 5 or under is "not pregnant." but technically you are 5.3 meaning theres SOME HCG doing something in there.
you have a blood clotting issue right? are you being treated for it??

it can be but most likely not.
I think that it's worth staying in the prog and seeing what happens in a few days.
Maybe it will jump up.
Technically anything under 5 is negative.

ok, i have to add that I already stopped both prog and estrace yesterday as i knew preg tests were negative. not the best thing to do, but I wanted AF already
yes, I have MFTHR, I am on metanx, aspirin and special prenatal.
oh no, i do not want any hope. i was ready for a negative.

seriously. NEVER EVER STOP YOUR MEDS BEFORE THE BETA!! no matter what the HPT says.
one of my friends from another message board did the same thing. turned out she went for the beta and was pregnant and her progesterone was VERY low. she was very near m/c because of it. the pregnancy in the end wasn't viable after about 7 weeks but the point of the story is she got - HPTs and a positive beta and was pregnant and saw a heartbeat a few weeks later. there's no reason to play doctor to yourself. seriously, why would you ever want the burden of putting everything you worked for in jeopardy?? its not worth it...

Most places consider anything above a 5 a positive pregnancy..at the very least...IMHO...you might have had a chemical. I would start taking teh progesterone again though....and mauybe you can monitor things with a cheap HPT...GL to you!!

THe first IVF, my beta was a 12 and it was a chemical I hope your beta takes a big jump, beta limbo is the WORST

I get it... after my D&E, I retaliated by not taking my prenatal vitamins for like a week 
Anyway, like Flowerwife said, NEVER stop Crinone before they tell you!!!
ETA: I read that over and realize my response might not make sense because obviously our experiences were different- but what I meant was I didn't feel like taking pills unnecessarily- and while knowing I was not pregnant, taking the prenatals seemed stupid

think positive. why would you assume ectopic??? ectopic is typical when beta goes up, then down, then up again. your beta is obviously rising although at this point no way to know how much. def go get a beta tomorrow!!!

It sounds good to me,..I have had two chemicals and had positive HPT's onthe day of my beta and very low betas that were on the way down. HPT's then turned negative. It seems to me that with a beta of 5.3 a few days ago and continuing positive HPT's today, that you have reason to be optimistic. FX that everything works out for you!! GL!!

Yes..its VERY hard...I remember my first chemical..one of the saddest days of my life. I was caught off guard...shocked really. I was so very naive about TTC. All I can say is that what you are feeling is normal...but in all honesty...you have reason for hope...you still have positive HPT's!!! If for some reason this pregnancy does not work out....iand I pray it does..it may not mean much to you right now...but it is a very good sign that you had an embryo implant.
Try to hang in there...it will be okay whichever way it turns out.
