4 week old hit head a little

I was just putting my 4 week old on the playmate and she hit her head a little on the wood floor. The playmate is cushioned a little bit but not that much. She didn't hit it very hard but hard enough that I heard it. It was the back of her head. She cried a little but stopped when I picked her up. Now she is fine hanging out on the playmate happy moving all around. I think she is fine but need some reassurance. I can't believe I did that.

We have all done things that accidently hurt our children. When DS was only a couple of weeks old, I tried to put a bib on him with the snaps and snapped his skin in it. He screamed. I felt horrible and cried because of it As long as she calmed down I am sure she is ok!

Sounds like she is definitely ok! The fact that she was happy and playing again a moment later is a great sign! She probably just cried for a second from the shock of it. I know how you must have felt though- when my son was maybe 7 or 8 weeks old, I was nursing him in my bed and our 2 70 lb. dogs were wrestling on the bed. It's a king size bed, so I didn't think too much of it, until one of the dogs flipped over and her entire body landed on my son's head! He of course cried, and naturally, I panicked. I could barely sleep that night because I kept checking on him to make sure he was still breathing and didn't have a concussion He was totally fine like a minute after it happened, but I felt like the worst mother in the universe! Don't worry- it happens to all of us!!
