Ian hit his head at daycare

the daycare just called and she said that she propped ian on the floor for a second to get the stroller and the second she turned around he fell and hit his head. she said hes ok and will probably have a little bruise. she said he really didnt like when she put ice on it. he seems to be ok tho. but should i call the ped and see if he should look at him? or just see how it goes? hes almost 8 months.

I'm sure he's fine but maybe call your pediatrician anyway, it will give you peace of mind.

When DS was a baby, he tipped over while sitting more times than I care to remember... and hit his head on the floor. It always sounded way worse than it was.

He was always fine. But if you are concerned, call you ped! Chat Icon

Re: Ian hit his head at daycare

Call your ped for peace of mind. They will tell you what to watch for over the next 24 hours to be sure he is 100% ok.

DD fell headfirst off our bed onto the floor when she was 10 mos. She hit the nightstand on the way down - it doesn't sound like your DS had nearly as hard a hit. But we called the ped because she had a bump on her head. They wound up asking us to bring her in to check her. She was totally fine. I'm sure Ian will be too.

Me too.
Honestly, kids hit their heads all the time - this is something I have learned first hand in the past few months!
