3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

Not me Chat Icon

Between heartburn, restless legs, stuffy nose and just cannot find a comfy spot, I barely sleep...and then when I do fall asleep my DH wakes me up and tells me to turn over because I'm snoring...or like last night, there was a thunderstorm...

I almost took a Tylenol PM last night but I was too scared too! Chat Icon

Not really - it's been really hot here. Plus I get comfortable on one side, but then everything seems to go numb Chat Icon And flipping over is SUCH a production at this point!!

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

i'm sleeping better than i've slept my whole life. i don't even get up to pee that often! (maybe once a night, sometimes not at all!)

I go to bed around 12, up at 7 and I feel so rested - I don't even wake up tired!

I keep the house very cool (DH sleeps with a down comforter, i sleep on top of everything), use a throw pillow between my knees, and prop a soft fleece blanket under the belly for support.

My only complaint is that I'm very stiff when I get out of bed in the morning. My hips and lower back creak like an old lady Chat Icon

SLEEP? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon What's THAT??!

I wake up at least 4-5 times a night. By the time I fall asleep soundly, around 5 or 5:30am, it's a waste anyway because my daughter is fond of waking me up at 6:30am Chat Icon

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

Yes, I sleep well in between my 2 hour bathroom breaks.

My lower back is starting to ache a bit.

But I need at least 8+ hours in bed to even feel somewhat human. I might not be sleeping the whole 8 hours, but if I get any less, I'm off all day.

Shorty - You and your pregnancy amaze me. There's no way I could stay up til midnight every night and then even consider getting up at 7am! It's a struggle for me to stay up past 10pm.

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

I am similar to Shorty....At 32w, I am sleeping great. I go to bed between 9-10 & get up at 5:30. I usually wake up once at 1:30 to use the bathroom & that is all. I never wake up while turning or anything. I guess I am considering myself lucky.

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

I miss the days where I slept great! I'm up a million times to pee and then its hard for me to fall back asleep. I'm wide awake by 4am and then I just lay in bed till DH wakes up for work then TRY to go back to sleep. Between my back hurting, having contractions at night, peeing 5-6 times a night and just not being able to get comfortable I don't sleepChat Icon

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

I usually wake up every few hours to pee, and finding a comfortable position is also a pain. I also get restless leg which is super annoying

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

Last night was the first night in months that i actually slept and that is only because DH FINALLY let me turn on the window fan. I don'tkno what it is about a little breeze on my back while i try and sleep but it works wonders.

No-turning over is just getting worse -I have to pee like 3-4x, I'm 38 weeks and I'm so effing sick of feeling like this. The heartburn at night is horrendous!!!

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

at 28 weeks its starting to get tough, i keep rolling onto my side/belly and my DH yells "youre squishing her!" it also doesnt help that i have to crawl down to the end of the bed 8 times a night to pee bc DH "cant sleep next to the wall"! Chat Icon

he bought me the snoogle at BBB the other day and it has DEFINITELY helped! if you dont have it i definitely recommend it!

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

Eh- so so.

I fall asleep pretty quickly most nights, but I wake up around 2:30 every night to pee, then I wake up just for the heck of it several times around that.Chat Icon

I rarely wake up feeling refreshed.

Re: 3rd Tri ladies...are you sleeping well?

I'm very lucky that I have been sleeping extremely well. I rarely get up to pee during the night, maybe 3x per week will I get up once at night. Other than that I sleep pretty much the whole night straight through till morning, waking up well rested. I'm was sure it would get worse as I got towards the end of the 3rd tri, but here I am 37.5 weeks and still sleeping well.
