3 day potty and night training
Ok...so we are about to enter day 3 of the 3 day method. Day one and two were quite successful. Two very small accidents (he actually started and stopped himself both times finishing on potty) on day one with successful dry 2 hour nap. And zero accidents on day two with two poops on potty. However a wet nap (he just couldn't go before nap) and disaster of night on night one---peed 3 times. Not sure what night 2 will bring.
What happens if he just keeps having several accidents at night?
We stop all liquid 2.5 hours before bed. We try to get him to go before he goes to sleep.
Also---he is drawing out bedtime by saying he needs to go to the bathroom.....I don't want to say no...but he's up 3 more times after I put him in for night and with nothing to show for it.
Any ideas???

Re: 3 day potty and night training
We did the three day with my DD 6 months ago. We had the same issues with the dry naps and bedtime being a disaster. I would just let them go to the bathroom even though they may not actually go. I know for my DD she was so upset about wetting the bed the previous nights that she was freaked out she'd do it again. She would wake up very upset. It took quite awhile before bedtime wasn't dragged out so much, but it did get better. You just have to be patient. But beware because it's a new form of control for them!

Put a pull up on him at night. You can't night train, they are either ready or not. They either have the bladder control to go that long or they don't. Once he goes a little while not peeing at night consistently then switch to underwear.

This!
My son is 5 and still has pull ups at night. No matter what we do he is. Dr said it's because he's such a deep sleeper and his body isn't mature enough to hold it in or wake up yet. I'm not concerned at all.
My daughter is 3 and 9 out of 10 nights she wakes up dry.

Agreed! My son is 5 and just recently started with underwear all night long. Once he was waking up consistently dry in the morning, we made the switch to undies. His bladder could be mature enough for naps, but holding it 10-12 hours might be too much for his bladder to handle right now. My son had no problems during the day, but night time, he was just not ready to go without the pull up.

Re: 3 day potty and night training
I did the 3 day potty training with both my kids (I am in the middle of training DS now ).
with DD (she just turned 2) I tried for few weeks with night time and it just didn't work so I put her in pull ups. she is 5 now and since starting DS on the method we decided to give another try and she has woken up dry the past two nights. I have made the effort to cut drinks off 2 hours before hand and have her try to empty her bladder twice I have also woke her up about an hour or so after falling asleep to pee. that has now worked.
DS who is a little over 2 has also woken up the past 2 nights dry. I didn't want to try pull up right away so I have stuck with doing the above except I wont wake him up and his been good. for day time on the other hand he will not tell me he has to go!!!
if you really don't think he can get it you can do pull ups and it should be fine but I personally you at least wait it out for a week before doing so and trying what the book says. I tried everything with DD before finally giving up.
