2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
did you find that pregnancy #2 was harder on your body?
my #2 is measuring smaller, i've gained less weight but still, I am in pain when I don't remember much discomfort with #1. I am 32w tomorrow and ready to be done.

I couldn't agree more! I am 32 weeks 2 days and phsyically shot. I haven't gained all that much but my belly is much bigger this time around. I was lucky not to show with dd til about 30 weeks...this time, not so much. 2 weeks ago, ds was measuring about a pound ahead at 4 lbs 2 oz so there's a lot of baby in there. I think my biggest problem is working til 2:40 (teacher), then the second I get home dh leaves for work and doesn't get home til 2 am and I take care of my 14 month old dd who is incredibly active. Plus she decided to give up sttn the day i went back to work. Last night I slept less than an hour. I'm pretty much a zombie today. Just a few more weeks left for us!!

I am only 18w, so there is plenty of time for this pregnancy to be difficult, but this pregnancy is a million times easier for me than my first. I was sick for a long time with DD and just generally felt like crap. So far this pregnancy my only symptom is being tired. I honestly don't even feel pregnant! I think different pregnancies are just different.

Re: 2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
I'm 29.5 weeks. This pregnancy has been much easier. Less morning sickness, I'm more pleasant to be around, less stressed.
However, I've gained more weight at this point than I did the first time around. I admittedly look 9 months pregnant. That is not an exaggeration.
I'm carrying differently and that is what is harder this time. My belly is out very far, and bending is almost impossible. I get winded and dizzy if I move quickly..same with my first...but it's happening earlier in my pregnancy because of the extra weight.

OMG i was just telling my friend today that my body just hurts all the time. My back kills if I stand for longer than 10 mins.
It's such a different strain this time around.
I'm only 24 weeks and ready to be done.

Re: 2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
I'm 11 weeks with my 3rd. My 2nd was awesome but this one, so far, not so much. I'm wiped out but it's mainly in part to taking care of 2 other kids and just being too old for this

2nd pregnancy was harder for me. I had more morning sickness and just felt more pressure. I was smaller this time around but felt more uncomfortable than the first time.

Re: 2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
Yes! When I was pg with DS (#1) it was a breeze...I could have been pg forever..no aches and pains. With DD (#2) I was in such pain so early on throughout the entire pg. Every time I took a step, my body would hurt and the pelvic pain was awful I am pg with #3 and am thankfully not in the kind of pain that I was with DD. I am almost 30 weeks and I am now starting to feel pelvic pain but still nothing like before.

Re: 2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
Im just about 31 weeks with # 4 and each pregnancy is harder on my body. Im sure it has to do with there is more going on and less time to rest when the body needs it. But i think the body also "remembers" alot quicker and snaps into the pregnancy alot faster. My ribs have been killing me since about 24 weeks and continually get worse, i dont remember having such discomfort until the few tail end weeks with my 3rd.

Re: 2nd time mom's (or 3rd etc)
My 1st pregnancy mind you was over ten years ago but it was the easiest pregnancy I had NO problems I only remember Not feeling sexy ..lol however this pregnancy I felt like I was dying the first 14 weeks from throwing up everyday, I developed a slight heart problem and have to take medicine for it, they also have me on a baby aspirin because my Protien-S was too low, Im so uncomfortable I cant sleep and the acid reflux in the middle of the night is killing me softly, so yeah this pregnancy is a lot harder on my body! I was thinking maybe because I was a lot younger for my first??
Oh ETA Lets not forget my friend Sciatica!

Ugh YES!!! My first pregnancy was textbook....so easy, felt great, worked until 38 weeks. This pregnancy is kicking my butt, I've been in the hospital doe dehydration, put on bedrest for fear of preterm labor, exhausted all the time, just an overall worrisome/crappy pregnancy. I'm 29 weeks and can't wait to hit 40w already.
