I still waiting the recommended two months for public places, except for taking baby into daycare to drop off and pick up older DS which I couldn't avoid.

I wa out in the store right after our first ped's appoinment. i had my DD in the car seat in the snap and go with a blanket over her while I shopped.

It was a little different this time around because the babies were in the NICU.
They were born 2/14... Hudson came home on 3/1 so after that, I would take him out EVERY DAY to the hospital to see Stella. Sometimes if I had to run an errand or 2 with him, I'd do that also.

Around a month. I had family help though. We only took him out to the pediatrician's office.

This baby is also due in winter, but I'm probably not waiting the 8 weeks to take them out. No way am I going to be trapped indoors with a toddler and a nb every day for two months. I'll stay out of crowds, wear the nb, and hope for the best.

Other than for walks and to my parents'/mil's house I did wait just about 8 weeks. There was nowhere I really had to go. It was a mild fall so I walked for miles everyday. This time around, I am due in January. I will probably do the same thing.

We took both our boys out right from the start. If we were going to be around big crowds of people I didn't know, we would just leave them in the carseat usually. Otherwise, family parties, etc. we took them to everything.
