2nd Birthdays
what did everyone do for parties?
I dont know what to do. Noah's is in 2 months.
I am really not into having it at a place for kids, because we need to save money for the new babies ..
but...If we have it at home and invite family, and his friends, then its gonna be a bit crowded in the house.
And We dont really have a backyard. We Rent and its just a mess out there...
Just curious what others did?
I was thinking maybe the Park again but not renting a pavillion like last yr, but this time, just getting there early and gathering up tables?

Re: 2nd Birthdays
I am just having immediate family (which will be 70 people) - if we have friends that number would jump to 150 again.
I would just keep it small with family only if you want to save $$ - order some pizza and call it a day!

ITA!! Not sure what we are going to do, but I have 6 months to figure it out! I was thinking about having it at a place, but there's a possibility that I wouldn't make the minimum kid requirement of 12 or 15 kids if some people didn't come.
We had it at our house last year which was fine, but I didn't really enjoy myself since I was running around all day...not sure what to do yet!

We have a small family so thats ok ( not invivitng all DH's aunts, cousins etc, for a 2nd birthday), but I really wanna do something with his friends. These are the kids and people he see's more often, more then most family KWIM?

I rented a shelter at a local park...it worked out great We did that last yr. Do you have ( you can FM ) a price?
I think we paid $250 plus a liquor fee plus some other fee and plus food and decorations, I dont wanna surpass $500 on the party.
Would it be really cheesy to just have it at picnic tables in the park?

She lives in NC, so that's not going to help you. My friend did picnic tables at the park, I think it was Holtsville (too far for you), but she got there early, set up the decorations and the kids played. It was fun. You could get a bubble machine, some hula hoops, etc.

Re: 2nd Birthdays
Honestly we aren't doing much. We are having pizza and a elmo cake with family and a few friends. That's about 15 people. I'm not into big parties.

Did you check with Wantagh park? They may allow parties. You can bring "picnic food". The kids could play on the playground.
I would also look into Old Westbury gardens. They may be $$$ though.
