2nd and 4th Birthdays
My sons are turning 2 and 4 within a month of each other. I am doing a joint birthday party for them. I am ALREADY getting to questions of what to get for them! I really do not need another toy for the 2 year old and I have a ton of clothes for the 2yo from his big brother and very generous friends. Any suggestions of what to ask for from family (friends I am telling that we really do not need anything) for both children? We already have: Kitchen train table ride on thomas train that goes around a track 4yo has a bicycle radio flyer wagon ride on motorized car each have a personalized toy chest in their rooms
Also, I do not have a back yard so no outside toys/swings, etc.

Re: 2nd and 4th Birthdays
Let's see:
- musical instrument- my in-laws are getting my almost 3 year old a small guitar for his b-day
- kids furniture- a little chair or couch to sit on or lay on in the living room
- a paint aisle -
- a train table
ETA:
- A big tent or teepee that you could set up for them to play in in the living room.
As I think of ideas I will add them.

Already have the easle, the train table and the pottery barn anywhere chair (both boys have one that they got from my BFF for their 1st birthdays).
I like the tent/teepee idea though!

I just realized I spelled easel like aisle in a store. It's been a long day. I am glad you like the teepee idea.

Can you ask for things like gift cards to places like Plastercraze, Bouncy places, Chuck E Cheese? Those might be good alternatives to traditional gifts.

Thank you ladies for the suggestions!
Does anyone have a nice book shelf (like those personalized linen ones) that they could recommend?

I think we got ours from One Step Ahead.
Since you mentioned the book shelf, does that mean you have enough books already? I know my BFF in CA asked for books for her DS's birthdays. It is an awesome way to acquire quite an amazing book collection for the kids.

OMG, we have a ton of books! Most were hand me downs from my sisters kids, they bring a bag of books everytime they come over. We also belong to this Jewish book club where we get a book for each kid every month. We also buy books for J as a bribe
